Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use the raw silk cloth?
Moisten washcloth in warm water and very gently glide over skin in a circular motion. You can use it in the shower OR you can use it just at the bathroom sink.
In the mornings – if you’re not a ‘splash myself silly with cold water’ kinda gal, then wet the cloth and gently wipe over your face. You will feel refreshed and awake in no time!
Go for it! Raw silk has been known for its many amazing benefits such as;
- Smooths dry and flaky skin
- Evens skin tone and texture
- Works to help prevent breakouts
- Helps to prevent ingrown hairs
- Gently exfoliates dead skin cells to reveal baby smooth skin
Oh absolutely! As a matter of fact, the molecular structure of silk protein is similar to the collagen fibres that make up our skin! Raw Silk is also hypoallergenic; it does not attract dust mites and is a natural fungal repellant.
Of course, start very gentle and you will see for yourself !
Our skin cells turnover naturally (approx. every 2 weeks) and therefore we always have beautiful new skin at the ready. This process is slowed down by things such as ageing, hormones, diet, changes in weather and even medications. So while our skin is a magnet for attracting compliments from friends and strangers, it’s also a magnet for blocked pores, breakouts, rough patches, dull skin and a variety of annoying skin conditions.
Exfoliation is one of the easiest things you can add to your routine and it has such big effects! That’s where Georgie Skin comes to the rescue! Our Dead Sea mud masks contain a LOT of minerals (see FAQ below). These help to draw out impurities and cleanse the dirty (non goddess-y) particles and detoxify your skin – leaving it refreshed and rejuvenated, ready to fully absorb your glorious moisturiser.
REALLY Soon!! We are so excited to bring you our highly anticipated dead sea mud masks! Sign up to our email list so we can keep it real and let you know the deets of the launch date!
